Ok, today I want to work towards finishing the part selection for the expresscard. I still don't have a footprint for the expresscard connector, so I should look into that, maybe use the datasheet I found, or the expresscard / pcie breakout that I found. I'll probably want to confirm that it's the same on the donor card I have, which means opening it up. I also need to check the heights on components. I don't really know how much clearance I have, and I think the inductor I picked is too tall. I need to measure against the one I have already. It also makes me realize I need to measure the thickness of the PCBs I have. Took off the metal can on the USB3 expresscard and put it on it's own page [[USB3 Expresscard Teardown]] Yeah, the inductor I choose is 4mm tall, which is taller than the 2.7mm one in the expresscard. Maybe I can use [this one](https://www.digikey.ca/en/products/detail/sumida-america-inc/0630CDMCCDS-6R8MC/5812459) but it has a higher DC Resistance, although I don't know what that means.
